Meet Our Educators

Lisa Farnen

Director/Head 4's Teacher 

                   

In addition to Lisa's role as Director, she is thrilled to be in the classroom teaching the 4's class.  Lisa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Teaching. She also holds Connecticut certification for teaching grades Pre-K through grade eight and a Head Teacher Certificate from the State of Connecticut. Lisa also taught elementary school for 8 years before she left to raise her family. She and her husband Jim are currently the co-owners of the Farnen Educational Group, an educational consulting and support services practice in Wilton. Lisa believes that children learn best when they are in a warm, nurturing environment.  She loves to read, cook, and spend quality time with her family.  Lisa lives in Easton with her husband and four children.

                                                                 

Dawn Fry  

2's Teacher

Dawn  is overjoyed to join the team at Christ's Church Nursery School.  She holds a B.S. degree in Human Services and has many years experience working with preschool age children.  She worked 10 years as a nanny and 2 years owning and operating her State Certified Day Care.  Dawn resides in Easton with her husband Dennis and their 2 sons Daniel and Patrick .

Karen Talloni

2's and 4's Teacher

Karen teaches the 2's and 4's.  She has been an early childhood educator for nearly 17 years with a CDA in Early Childhood.  In addition to her many years with young children, Karen completed a two year certificate in culinary school.  She has raised five children in Monroe.  Her youngest attended Christ's Church Nursery School 17 years ago and Karen brings many fond memories of that time with her. Karen enjoys reading, cooking and crocheting.

Ann Leibell

3's and 4's Teacher

                 

         

Ann is delighted to be a member of the CCNS staff and loves working with young children.  She is a graduate of Smith College where she earned a B.A. in English and went on to complete a Masters in Social Work from Columbia University.  She has completed 15 credits in Early Childhood education. As a stay-at-home mom,  Ann has enjoyed being an active volunteer in Easton for the past 8 years.  She co-founded Easton Learning Foundation (ELF) in 2004, a local education foundation which raises funds for grants and special projects for all three Easton schools. She was Director of the Christ's Church Sunday School for several years and continues to teach.   She lives in Easton and enjoys spending time with her husband David and 2 daughters, Emma and Charlotte.

Reverend Ellen Huber

Spanish

        

Rev. Ellen (aka Mother Ellen!) has been the Rector at Christ's Church for nearly ten years.  She is a graduate of Yale Divinity School.  In addition to being the chair of the CCNS Board of Directors, Mo. Ellen also teaches Spanish at CCNS.   She has frequently substituted for Spanish in the Monroe public schools.  Mo. Ellen's husband is also an Episcopal priest in Monroe and they are the proud parents of four adopted children.  Mo. Ellen enjoys riding horses in her spare time. Her office door is always open for visits!
